Week 3

Different types of software I would like to share and examples of websites I like to use.
1. Drill and Practice - http://mathhplayground.com/  This website kids can practice their math addition and subtraction facts. The more you practice the better you know your math. Practice makes perfect.
2. Tutorial - http://www.starfall.com/  This site guides students through reading exercises and works with their comprehension. The children love the units too.  They are interesting.
3. Simulation - http://www.primarygames.com/  There are science activities to do that will go through the simulations with the kids.
4. Instructural Games - http://pbskids.org/  There are so many videos and games for students to use from math, science, reading, alphabet, numbers, sorting, classifying, etc.
5. Problem solving - http://www.abc.net.au/ This is a great website to use for solving math problems for the elementary student.
6. Integrated learning systems - http://amazing-space.stsci.edu/ This is great site to use for interaction with science. You can see a video of the night's sky and the kindergateners love looking at the sky and all the stars.
Children love playing around on the computers looking for new games.
